Operations Managers - Kemps Creek NSW- Amazon Account

About the role and opportunity -

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse and distribution centre operations at ourAmazon Kemps Creeksite.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of the DC, delivering service excellence while meeting performance, safety and financial targets. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and is passionate about people, safety and continuous improvement.

This pivotal role is responsible for delivering high-quality logistics services to our customers, ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to -

  • Lead and manage daily warehouse and distribution operations to meet service and financial targets.

  • Plan and coordinate resources to ensure labour, equipment and systems are utilised efficiently.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and enhancing service outcomes.

  • Investigate operational issues, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.

  • Ensure all site processes, procedures and standards are documented, implemented and adhered to.

  • Act as point of escalation for operational issues and support audits, inspections and reviews.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support growth and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking for to Drive Success-

  • Experience or exposure in a 3PL environment - understanding third-party logistics and client service delivery.

  • Strong knowledge of warehousing and distribution best practice, WMS and labour optimisation.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach performance and foster a collaborative site culture.

  • Sound understanding of safety, legislative and compliance requirements.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
