About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to help ensure our platform delivers the reliability, quality and performance expected from software powering global travel. You'll work closely with Engineers, Product Managers and Architects throughout the entire development lifecycle-helping teams build quality into the product from the very beginning rather than validating it at the end. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving engineering processes, driving test automation, challenging assumptions and helping teams deliver reliable software with confidence.
Our engineering teams build cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, React, MySQL, DynamoDB and microservices, with quality engineering embedded into every stage of development.
AI-enhanced quality engineering
We use Claude AI coding assistants as part of our everyday engineering workflow to improve productivity and reduce repetitive work. Our Quality Engineers use AI to generate and improve test scenarios, accelerate test automation, analyse defects, create documentation and support exploratory testing.
While AI helps us work more efficiently, quality is still driven by engineering judgement, critical thinking and attention to detail.
What you'll do
Define and promote quality standards across the software development lifecycle.
Design, execute and maintain manual and automated test scenarios.
Review requirements and provide early feedback to improve product quality before development begins.
Collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers to identify risks and ensure testability.
Perform API, functional, regression and exploratory testing.
Contribute to test automation and continuous improvement of QA processes.
Track, investigate and communicate defects throughout the development lifecycle.
Help teams build quality into every release through collaboration and engineering best practices.
What we're looking for
5+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman.
Experience with functional, regression and exploratory testing.
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, TestNG or similar.
Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Nice to have
Experience with frontend and backend testing strategies.
Performance testing experience.
Experience working with cloud-based SaaS platforms.
Travel technology experience.
Curiosity about AI-assisted quality engineering.
