Team Overview

TransUnion’s Global HR Operations team supports employees throughout the employee lifecycle by delivering consistent, compliant, and customer-focused HR services across regions. Based in Mexico, the HR Coordinator will collaborate with local and global partners to align regional onboarding and HR administration processes with TransUnion’s global operating standards. This role reports to the Senior Manager, People Operations. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

As an HR Coordinator, you will help deliver a seamless employee experience, with a primary focus on onboarding, HR operations, data accuracy, and process excellence. You will work across cultures and time zones, partnering with recruiters, HR Business Partners, employees, vendors, and regional and global HR Operations teams.

You will:

  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding activities from offer acceptance through the employee’s start date, ensuring required steps are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Manage pre-employment activities, including background checks, onboarding documentation, and other employment requirements, escalating delays or exceptions when appropriate.
  • Partner with recruiters, HR Business Partners, employees, and other stakeholders to support timely completion of onboarding and employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires, providing clear guidance and coordinating the resolution of onboarding questions or issues.
  • Process HR administration and employee lifecycle transactions while protecting confidential information and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Apply local employment requirements, company policies, and global HR standards throughout onboarding and HR operational processes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors supporting background checks, onboarding, employee services, or related HR operations.
  • Maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, job aids, and knowledge articles so that guidance remains accurate and accessible.
  • Collaborate with regional and global HR Operations teams to standardize processes, reduce unnecessary steps, and improve the employee experience.
  • Monitor process quality, identify service delivery or data integrity risks, and recommend practical improvements that strengthen accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience supporting HR operations.
  • Three to five years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, Employee Services, Shared Services, or a comparable operational environment, including experience processing employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish, written and verbal, to support employees and stakeholders across Mexico and global teams.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding or pre-employment processes that require accurate documentation, timely stakeholder follow-up, confidentiality, and compliance with established requirements.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across countries, cultures, organizational levels, or time zones to resolve operational issues and complete HR processes.

Required Technical Skills

  • Experience using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to process or maintain employee lifecycle information while supporting data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reviewing and maintaining operational information and tracking process completion.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Teams to coordinate onboarding activities and communicate with employees and cross-functional partners.
