Team Overview
You will join a newly created team responsible for delivering process innovation and continuous-improvement initiativesacross multiple locations. The team helps build a culture of sustainable change by embedding Lean Six Sigma
methodologies and supporting frameworks that drive business transformation. This role reports to the VP, Operations. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Deliver Lean Six Sigma and continuous-improvement training, including virtual Green Belt, Yellow Belt, Operational Excellence, and other upskilling sessions.
- Administer the day-to-day Lean Six Sigma training program, follow up with prospective participants to support class enrollment, and coordinate with Learning and Development to keep knowledge assessments current.
- Develop, maintain, and refresh Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence training materials using current best practices.
- Coach newly trained associates as they complete case studies or apply continuous-improvement methods to business projects.
- Identify and deliver service-improvement opportunities using process-improvement methodologies, workflow analysis, and innovative problem-solving approaches.
- Lead Lean and process-improvement workshops with business stakeholders and Lean champions to generate practical solutions and support an ongoing program of change.
- Analyze processes, trends, and variations to identify unnecessary complexity, productivity issues, risks, and opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Own change initiatives from opportunity identification through delivery, applying internal governance and controls and managing business impacts, objectives, dependencies, and project risks.
- Partner with team members and business-services departments to create support materials for revised processes, including training, reporting, and system enhancements.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate delivery and identify improvements for future initiatives.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- 6-8 years of continuous-improvement experience in a comparable role, including project management and business analysis, to lead initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, value-stream mapping, and related continuous-improvement concepts used to analyze processes and facilitate improvement workshops.
- An accredited Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience delivering continuous-improvement initiatives across multiple jurisdictions and working with geographically distributed business stakeholders.
- A business degree or equivalent work experience.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to apply process and value-stream mapping techniques in service-improvement workshops
- Experience developing engaging training materials and facilitating virtual learning sessions.
- English language proficiency (written and verbal)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging partners, senior managers, and subject-matter experts.
