Traya is an Indian direct-to-consumer hair care brand platform providing a holistic treatment for consumers dealing with hair loss. The Company provides personalized consultations that help determine the root cause of hair fall among individuals, along with a range of hair care products that are curated from a combination of Ayurveda, Allopathy, and Nutrition.

Traya's secret lies in the power of diagnosis. Our unique platform diagnoses the patient's hair and health history to identify the root cause behind hair fall and delivers customized hair kits to them right at their doorstep. We have a strong adherence system in place via medically-trained hair coaches and proprietary tech, where we guide the customer across their hair growth journey, and help them stay on track. Traya is founded by Saloni Anand, a techie-turned-marketeer and Altaf Saiyed, a Stanford Business School alumnus.

Most importantly, to combine 3 different sciences (Ayurveda, Allopathy and Nutrition) to create the perfect holistic solution for hair loss patients.

The Opportunity :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to guide and empower our mobile app development team specializing in React Native. In this crucial leadership role, you will be responsible for the team's technical direction, project delivery, and professional growth in the mobile space. You will play a key role in shaping our mobile architecture, ensuring the successful execution of our mobile product roadmap, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on React Native.

Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage a team of mobile app developers specializing in React Native, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

- Own the technical vision and architecture for the team's mobile projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability across iOS and Android using React Native.

- Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of mobile app development projects, ensuring they are on time and within scope.

- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define mobile project requirements, priorities, and timelines.

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing, open communication, and continuous improvement in mobile development practices.

- Lead technical design discussions and ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines specific to React Native mobile development.

- Oversee code reviews, ensuring code quality and providing constructive feedback to team members with a mobile-first perspective.

- Proactively identify and address technical challenges and roadblocks specific to mobile development, ensuring the team's productivity and success.

- Contribute to the professional development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and identifying growth opportunities in mobile technologies, particularly React Native.

- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new mobile team members.

- Advocate for the adoption of new mobile technologies and best practices to enhance the team's capabilities and efficiency in React Native development.

- Monitor team performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement in mobile app delivery.

- Represent the mobile team in cross-functional meetings and contribute to broader engineering initiatives.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent extensive practical experience).

- Significant experience (typically 6+ years) in mobile app development with a strong focus on React Native for both iOS and Android.

- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in a technical leadership role, managing and mentoring mobile app developers.

- Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and mobile development best practices for cross-platform development.

- Extensive hands-on experience building and leading mobile projects with React Native, including native module integration, performance optimization, and deployment.

- Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns and experience guiding teams in using appropriate state management solutions within React Native.

- Strong experience with mobile testing frameworks and guiding teams in writing effective unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for mobile apps.

- Excellent understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, platform-specific guidelines (iOS & Android), and performance optimization techniques for mobile applications built with React Native.

- Proven ability to lead technical discussions, make sound architectural decisions for mobile systems, and drive technical consensus within a team.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, particularly in a mobile development context.

- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach mobile engineers, fostering their technical growth and career development in React Native and mobile technologies.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of delivering mobile app projects successfully.

Bonus Points :

- Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and app store deployment automation.

- Familiarity with mobile analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools.

- Experience with integrating various native mobile SDKs and services.

- Contributions to the React Native open-source community.

- Experience with different mobile build systems and dependency management.

- Understanding of mobile security best practices and guiding teams in their implementation.
