Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture Design : Define and implement end-to-end data architecture leveraging AWS services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Technical Leadership : Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and guide solution delivery across multiple projects
  • AWS Glue & EMR : Build and optimize ETL pipelines, orchestrate big data workloads, and manage distributed processing frameworks
  • Apache Iceberg : Implement Iceberg tables for large-scale analytics, ensuring schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning
  • Amazon Aurora : Architect and optimize relational databases for transactional and analytical workloads
  • Data Governance : Establish standards for data quality, lineage, and security compliance
  • Cloud Cost Optimization : Monitor and optimize resource usage to balance performance and cost
  • Collaboration : Partner with product managers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or Technical Lead in cloud-native environments
  • Strong expertise in AWS Glue, EMR, Aurora, and Apache Iceberg
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data engineering
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and distributed systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive technical discussions and decision-making
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Data Analytics certification
  • Experience with Lakehouse architectures and data mesh principles
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud data platforms
