Software Engineer

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience building backend services in Java or a similar production language.
• Core language mastery: Hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot) for building RESTful web services.
• Database and query fundamentals: Working experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL), including schema design, indexing, SQL queries, and transactional boundaries.
• API and domain design: Strong ability to model clean domain boundaries, write clear API contracts, and structure robust data models.
• Asynchronous and workflow resilience: Experience reasoning about multi-step workflows, message queues, asynchronous execution, retries, and failure recovery in distributed systems.
• Ownership in fast-paced environments: Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn evolving requirements into simple, durable designs.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in fintech, payments, lending, or other high-trust, regulated domains.
• Experience with key-value stores / caching layers (Redis) and message brokers/event streams (Kafka or SQS).
• Experience with workflow orchestration engines (e. g., Temporal, Cadence) or async task queues (e. g., Celery).
• Experience building platform APIs or tool layers consumed by automated clients, scripts, or AI agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience taking technical ownership of a feature area or guiding junior team members.
• Tech stack: Java (Spring Boot), PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, AWS. You'll pick up the rest on the job, including how we keep fintech backends reliable, observable, and evolvable as agent and product capabilities grow.
