About the Program

Trilogy's 2027 Technical Internship Program is a 12-week, hands-on experience designed for students who want to apply their technical skills to meaningful, real-world challenges while learning alongside experienced technology professionals.

Interns will be matched with a technical focus area based on their skills, interests, academic experience, and Trilogy's current technology priorities. Potential areas may include software engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud and DevOps, cybersecurity, automation, data, and emerging technology research.

Throughout the program, interns will work with Trilogy's technical teams, receive mentorship and feedback, participate in Agile development practices, and complete a project or body of work culminating in an end-of-program Virtual Capstone presentation.

Technical Focus Areas

Interns may be aligned to one of the following areas based on experience, interests, and project availability:

  • Software Engineering: Application development, APIs, testing, modernization, and other software engineering initiatives.

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: AI/ML research, prototypes, automation, emerging technologies, and practical applications of artificial intelligence.

  • Cloud & DevOps: Cloud technologies, infrastructure, CI/CD, containers, automation, platform engineering, and related technologies.

  • Cybersecurity: Security engineering, analysis, security operations, compliance, vulnerability management, and related cybersecurity initiatives.

  • Data & Analytics: Data engineering, visualization, analytics, reporting, and development of data-driven solutions.

  • Research & Innovation: Exploration of emerging technologies, technical research, proofs of concept, prototypes, and innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

Applicants will have an opportunity to identify their first and second preferred focus areas during the application process. Final assignments will be based on candidate interests and qualifications, mentor availability, and Trilogy's technical priorities.

Week 2 | Trilogy Summer Tech Summit

Interns will come together in Bridgeport, WV, for our Summer Tech Summit designed to build connections and launch the summer experience. The Summit will include team-building activities, technical collaboration, leadership engagement, mentoring sessions, professional development, and dedicated time with project teams. Following the Summit, interns will transition to the primarily remote portion of the program.
