What You Will Be Doing:
Responsible for the coordination of patient meal service team, including diet office, tray assembly, tray delivery and dish room functions.
Performs opening and closing responsibilities of department.
Adheres and monitors unit, departmental and hospital policies and procedures and compliance.
Maintains open dialogue with Senior Managers, managers, dietitians, supervisors, nursing, and support services staff regarding all aspects of patient meal service.
Implements all THS FANS policies as they are rolled out.
Assures that patient services colleagues are properly supported and have the tools they need to accomplish job duties.
SECURITY - Monitors and assures security of assets such as safe monies, two-way radios, computers, food product, equipment, keys, etc.
QUALITY ASSURANCE ACTIVITIES - Leads in services prior to each meal period as needed. Documents quality indicator and makes corrective action when indicated. Monitors safety standards. Documents accident and safety incidents of visitors and staff.
Plans, monitors and conducts employee training.
Participate in job related training and in-service education.
Performs other duties as assigned to facilitate the operation flow of the Food and Nutrition Department.
Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
Preferred: Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 - 3 years of college
Specify Degree(s): Culinary experience acquired through culinary school or years of experience in institutional setting.
Minimum Experience:
Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Compensation:
Pay Range: $17.30 - $26.81 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
