As a Regional Grants Coordinator at MercyOne you will support MercyOne's regional philanthropic, grant-funded, and regulatory initiatives by coordinating grant administration, compliance monitoring, reporting, and stewardship activities across multiple MercyOne ministries and affiliates. This position serves as a key resource for grant development and post-award management while also providing administrative and operational support to the Regional Grants Manager to promote organizational, contractual, and accreditation requirements.
Working collaboratively with foundation and operational leaders, the Regional Grants Coordinator helps ensure accountability for private, state, federal, and corporate grant funding while supporting reporting processes across the region.
What You'll Do:
Coordinates grant administration, reporting, and stewardship activities for private, corporate, foundation, and governmental grants as assigned across MercyOne ministries and affiliates.
Partners with program and operational leaders to monitor grant performance, budgets, spend rates, outcomes, and reporting requirements.
Assists in researching, developing, writing, and submitting grant proposals and funding requests aligned with organizational priorities.
Maintains grant records, funding databases (CRM), reporting schedules, and documentation to ensure accountability and compliance.
Provides guidance and training to grant awardees regarding grant requirements, allowable expenditures, reporting obligations, and stewardship expectations.
Supports the Regional Compliance Manager in implementing and monitoring organizational compliance initiatives, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Assists with internal audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments, corrective action plans, and regulatory documentation.
Maintains compliance records and coordinates education activities, committee meetings, and follow-up actions.
Prepares reports, dashboards, presentations, and analyses to support leadership decision-making, and grant stewardship.
Collaborate with foundation, compliance, and operational teams on strategic projects and other duties as assigned.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other Trinity Health/MercyOne policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
General Requirements:
Experience with grant writing, grant management, regulatory compliance, auditing, or healthcare operations preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and reporting).
Ability to coordinate multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously. Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial and data concepts for diverse audiences.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Demonstrated commitment to process improvement, data quality, and operational efficiency.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative environment.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health and MercyOne.
Education:
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of business operations, as normally obtained through a bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Education, or related field and three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
