What you will Do:
FirstChoice Nuclear MedicineTechs are utilizedto fill short and long-term assignments throughout the health system, and we need you to be a part of this innovative program!
Responsibilities:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible forreviewing the Physician Order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works closely with Nuclear Medicine leadership and the Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance withthe department protocols.
Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of the designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to As Low AsReasonably Achievable (ALARA) techniques.
Collaborate with members of assigned unit as well as FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidenced based care within a healing culture for patients as well as families.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’sdegreeor higher required.
Eighteen (18) months of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registered as Nuclear Medicine Techby the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
State of Indiana Radiologic License.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Note: American Heart Association certifications only accepted.)
Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations.
Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
