About the Role
Join an early-stage healthtech team as a founding engineer, owning the backend systems behind clinical and financial workflows. You will build infrastructure that processes complex healthcare data and supports clinical AI capabilities in production.
What You'll Do
Build and scale distributed backend systems for chart processing, claims, authorizations, denials, and payer and provider integrations.
Develop browser and computer-use automation for navigating medical record software and payer portals.
Design reliable systems to process scanned charts, PDFs, structured claims, unstructured notes, and operational data at scale.
Build orchestration, queuing, retry, and observability infrastructure for long-running workflows across healthcare systems.
Partner with research and product engineers to bring clinical intelligence capabilities into production.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of backend software engineering experience, with a track record of owning complex infrastructure and systems end to end.
Strong experience with Python, microservices, distributed systems, and backend infrastructure.
Background in data pipelines, workflow orchestration, or processing large and messy datasets at scale.
Production experience with LLMs or machine learning models, plus browser automation or complex integrations.
Strong computer science, mathematics, or related technical foundations, and an interest in hands-on work at an early-stage startup.
Authorization to work without visa sponsorship is required.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $160,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
