About the Role
Join an applied AI team building and deploying solutions across a portfolio of vertical B2B SaaS businesses. In this founding role, you will own customer deployments from discovery through adoption and help shape the team's technical approach and growth.
What You'll Do
Lead customer discovery and translate business challenges into product specifications, AI workflows, and software solutions.
Own end-to-end deployment lifecycles, from initial build through customer adoption and ongoing maintenance.
Work on-site with customer leaders and teams to deliver solutions and support adoption.
Develop shared data models and workflows that can be productized across verticals.
Partner with company leadership to define and execute the applied AI strategy.
Help establish the forward deployed engineering function as the team grows.
What We're Looking For
Four to six years of experience in forward deployed engineering or other technical, customer-facing roles delivering software or AI solutions for enterprise B2B clients.
Experience owning technical deployments end to end, including implementation, customer adoption, and post-deployment support.
Strong enterprise software background and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Comfort across full-stack engineering, system architecture, data pipelines, AI/ML, and LLM application patterns.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Willingness to travel approximately 50% and spend extended periods at customer sites.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $200,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site in Chicago, Illinois, or New York, New York, five days per week, with approximately 50% travel to customer locations.
