As the Tanium Engineer, you will possess solid department of defense industry experience, with proven experience designing, configuring, deploying, operationalizing, administering, and optimizing Tanium in a distributed and complex enterprise. Experience implementing, deploying, and operationalizing Tanium and Tanium use cases is required. Experience in one or more of the following technical domains is required: Endpoint Security, Endpoint Support, Troubleshooting, Incident Response, Systems Management, Utility Scripting (bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python. You possess the ability to solve complex technical issues independently or within a team environment. Qualified candidates will provide services for a department of defense customer, performing architect, administration, and engineering engagements on the Tanium platform. The Tanium Engineer will also be involved in customer advisement regarding Tanium best practices and how to get added value out of their Tanium solution. You will be responsible for understanding use case requirements and operationalizing them in Tanium. You will also be responsible for interacting with Tanium technical account managers for key support when needed.
Qualification Requirements
- Active TS clearance required
- 2-3 days per week on-site in McLean, VA
- U.S. Citizenship is required as most work will be for U.S. Government DOD client.
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience
- Minimum 3 years of Tanium Experience
- Hands-on experience deploying Tanium in enterprise environments
- Understanding of engineering life cycle management
- Knowledge and experience in utility scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, VBScript)
- Hands-on experience with system automation and integration
- Operational experience in software deployment and vulnerability management tools

- Tanium TCO and/or TCA Certification
- TS Clearance
- Exposure and/or experience with any of the following tools: Splunk, Crowdstrike, ZScaler, CRIBL, Tenable, Rapid 7, Microsoft Defender ATP (or MDE), InTune, SCCM.
