Turner & Townsend is a British professional services firm founded in Leeds in 1946 that manages the cost, programme and delivery of large capital projects on behalf of the organisations paying for them. It works across infrastructure, real estate, energy and natural resources, providing cost management, project controls, programme advisory and contract administration rather than design or construction. Headquartered in Leeds and majority owned by CBRE since 2021, it employs over ten thousand people worldwide and works on many of the largest data centre and infrastructure programmes now under construction.

At Turner & Townsend we’re passionate about making the difference. That means delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our people to realize their potential, and doing our part to create a prosperous society.

Every day we help our major global clients deliver ambitious and highly technical projects, in over 130 countries worldwide.

Our team is dynamic, innovative and client-focused. Our clients value our proactive approach, depth of expertise, integrity and the quality we deliver. As a result our people get to work on some of the most exciting projects in the world.

We are seeking aPlanner to drive the development and oversight of all project scheduling activities in a data center construction environment, based on-site in Querétaro. This position plays a critical role in ensuring project timelines are realistic, controlled, and aligned with strategic objectives across multiple disciplines and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Development & Strategy

  • Lead the creation and management of project schedules, utilizing Critical Path Methodology to ensure accuracy and traceability from project inception through completion.
  • Establish and maintain baseline programmes, identify scheduling risks, and recommend corrective actions to align progress with contractual commitments.
  • Develop and present programme narratives that clearly communicate sequencing, milestones, and dependencies for client and project team alignment.

Progress Tracking & Reporting

  • Oversee monthly progress updates in line with the reporting cycle, integrating key metrics such as earned value and delay impact analysis.
  • Generate and review planning reports, tracking actual performance against the baseline and highlighting deviations with actionable insight.
  • Lead the production of 90-day lookahead schedules, identifying shortfalls and proposing strategic mitigations.

Contract Interface & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Review and approve contractor programmes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and integration across interfaces.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure programme expectations are communicated, understood, and maintained.
  • Lead or contribute to scenario planning (“what-if” analysis) to support change management and risk mitigation strategies.

Systems & Tools

  • Utilize planning software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 to manage programme integrity and automate reporting outputs.
  • Support the implementation of planning processes and standards that meet both client expectations and internal project controls requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning within large-scale industrial or data center environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and planning methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, interface management, and contract planning requirements.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal), with proven ability to present programme information to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead planning in fast-paced environments and collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.
