Job Description :
- Verification Engineer for the Communication Stream to validate time-critical network performance, Layer 2 packet integrity, and hardware-accelerated filtering mechanisms.
- Linux : Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on Linux systems.
- Execute command-line based testing and log analysis.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks.
- Create automation scripts using Python, Shell scripting, or similar technologies.
- Validate real-time network communication profiles across the Process Bus (SV, GOOSE), Station Bus (MMS), and Management Bus.
- Verify network redundancy protocols (PRP and HSR link integration) within a virtualized network environment.
- Test low-latency packet filtering mechanisms for L2/L3 networking.
- Execute network impairment simulations (packet injection, drop, corruption, and reordering) to ensure protection logic resilience.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
- Experience in Linux + Substation automation testing.
Substation Automation testing :
- Communication protocols : IEC 61850, DNP3
- Time Sync : PTP, SNTP
- Redundancy : PRP, HSR, RSTP
- Digital Substation : Sampled values
- Familiarity with the IEC 61850 standard, specifically the timing requirements for GOOSE and Sampled Values (SV).
- Proficiency with Wireshark (packet dissection, filtering, and traffic analysis for industrial protocols).
- Deep understanding of Linux network stacks, configuration, virtual switches, etc.
- Strong Python scripting skills (utilizing 'scapy', 'pytest') and Bash scripting for automated test execution.
- Experience in Substation automation testing.
