Since then, the company has grown to over 100 team members across the UK, with colleagues working both on-site with clients, hybrid and remotely from home. 

Details:

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 DOE

Location: Fully remote

Eligibility Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate must be UK-based and eligible for DV clearance.

About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to shape the direction and continued evolution of one of TwinStream’s most significant products.

You will bring together existing and prospective customer needs, operational and technical insight, and an understanding of the competitive landscape to create a clear strategic roadmap. Working across engineering, architecture, delivery, platform, service and commercial teams, you will ensure the product continues to deliver customer value while becoming easier and more efficient to develop, deploy, operate, maintain and evolve.

This is a strategic product role focused on understanding the problems that matter, defining the outcomes we need to achieve and making informed decisions about where to invest.

Responsibilities

Product vision and strategy

• Own and communicate a clear vision and strategic roadmap for the product.
• Translate customer, market, operational and technical insight into prioritised product outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of relevant market, technology and competitor developments.
• Understand competitor products and strategies, identifying emerging threats, opportunities and potential sources of disruption.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and differentiate the product.

Customer and market understanding

• Develop a strong understanding of existing and prospective customers, users and their operational environments.
• Understand underlying customer problems, needs and pain points and ensure these inform the roadmap.
• Identify recurring customer needs that could become reusable core product capability.
• Work with commercial and business-development teams to understand emerging requirements and opportunities.
• Maintain an understanding of the product’s competitive position within the Cross Domain market.

Prioritisation and roadmap management

• Maintain an outcome-focused strategic roadmap.
• Balance existing customer needs, prospective customer needs, product evergreening, technical debt, operational efficiency and competitive risk.
• Ensure the roadmap addresses the key challenges associated with operating, maintaining and evolving the product.
• Identify opportunities to reduce the effort and cost of developing, deploying, operating, supporting and maintaining the product.
• Prioritise investment based on customer value, strategic alignment, operational efficiency, competitive risk and delivery effort.
• Review and adapt the roadmap as evidence, customer needs, competitor developments and priorities change.

Supporting delivery

• Work closely with Product Oversight, delivery and engineering teams to provide clarity on the problem, intended outcome and product context.
• Help determine whether requirements should become core product capability, configurable variation or customer-specific delivery.
• Support the shaping of initiatives and epics without prescribing detailed technical solutions.
• Provide timely product decisions and remove ambiguity that could delay delivery.
• Ensure completed capabilities achieve the intended customer and product outcomes.

Product coherence and sustainability

• Protect the integrity and coherence of the product across components, customers and implementations.
• Promote common patterns, reusable capabilities and standard approaches.
• Ensure product decisions consider maintainability, usability, supportability, observability and operational cost.
• Champion automation, self-service and repeatable deployment and configuration patterns.
• Ensure recurring delivery and operational challenges are considered for simplification, standardisation, automation or productisation.

Stakeholder engagement

• Build trusted relationships across customers, engineering, architecture, delivery, platform engineering, service management and business development.
• Communicate product direction, roadmap priorities and decisions clearly.
• Facilitate constructive discussions where customer demand, operational challenges, delivery constraints and strategic priorities compete.
• Provide leadership with clear visibility of product progress, risks, opportunities and decisions.

What we’re looking for

You will be comfortable working in a technically complex environment and able to move between strategic thinking and practical delivery.

You will have:

• Experience working as a Product Manager or in a comparable strategic product role.
• Experience within the cyber security domain, ideally with exposure to cross-domain environments.
• Experience developing strategic product roadmaps and prioritisation approaches.
• Experience managing technically complex software, platform or infrastructure products.
• A strong understanding of outcome-focused and user-centred product management.
• The ability to understand complex customer and operational problems.
• Experience turning customer-specific needs into reusable product capabilities.
• An understanding of product lifecycle management, technical debt and software evergreening.
• Confidence working with software engineering, architecture and delivery teams.
• Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation and communication skills.
• The ability to make balanced decisions where priorities conflict or evidence is incomplete.

It would be useful if you also have

• Experience with enterprise, government, defence or other highly regulated environments.
• An understanding of secure software delivery, DevSecOps, cloud platforms or service operations.
• Familiarity with product discovery, service design or user-research techniques.
• Experience using evidence and metrics to assess product performance.
• Experience undertaking competitor or market analysis to inform product roadmaps.
