Shift: 1st
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sundays as-needed to support operations. Additional compensation is provided for the 6th and 7th workdays.
Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM/end of shift (flex as needed)
SUMMARY: The Parts Room Supervisor is responsible for purchasing maintenance parts and other building supplies for the plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight of cycle counting inventory control as well as inventory accuracy for the parts area.
- Ensure all Purchase Orders have proper approvals.
- Works closely with corporate purchasing on the development of new vendors and methods for cost reductions and performs other responsibilities as needed.
- Create new part numbers.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
- Create and maintain all invoices and late delivery reports.
- Validate all vendor credentials are current.
- Supervise, train, coach and mentor personnel within the Parts and Receiving department.
- Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and / or college courses, or combination of education and experience is preferred.
Experience: Knowledge of parts and tools used in a plant preferred; prior supervisor or lead experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite. SAP experience preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.
