Beyond Good & Evil 2 is an open-world action-adventure game set in a captivating space opera universe. It is also the direct prequel to the 2003 cult classic!

Thanks to the technological advances brought by our proprietary Voyager engine, Beyond Good & Evil 2 aims to deliver a seamless and organic experience of exploration and space piracy at the scale of an entire solar system. Why we need you:

We are looking for a Team Lead Character Artist to strengthen the Art team on Beyond Good & Evil 2.

You will play a key role in structuring and driving Character production, bringing clarity, prioritization, and a solid framework to a complex and constantly evolving environment. Beyond supporting the team on a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to organize production, arbitrate needs, and secure the delivery of assets at the right level of quality, on time.

This role requires strong organizational and management skills, as well as a very strong artistic eye.

What you will do:

Responsibilities:

Team Management & Leadership:

  • Drive and support the Character team on a daily basis
  • Provide leadership and help rationalize production processes
  • Mentor team members, support skill development and talent growth
  • Career coaching and development
  • Day-to-day people management
  • Act as a direct relay for Art Direction, with strong communication skills

Production:

  • Ensure Character production pipelines are followed (concept, high/low resolution, fast variations)
  • Organize production, prioritize needs, categorize assets, and ensure deadlines are met
  • Manage outsourcing and coordinate with external partners
  • Stay attentive to production evolutions and constraints
  • Contribute to overall production support in collaboration with other departments

Art Direction:

  • Strong mastery of full Character pipelines: concept → high-resolution → low-resolution → integration
  • Act as a key relay for Art Direction, able to discuss, challenge, and co-build decisions
  • Serve as an artistic and technical authority across the entire Character scope
  • Categorize assets according to production challenges and priorities

  • Proven experience as a Team Lead Character Artist on large-scale AAA projects
  • Very strong expertise in established Character pipelines
  • Expert-level Character modeling skills for video games

  • Your vision of the Team Lead role, curiosity for industry best practices, and desire to grow the team long-term will make a real difference
