We are one of the most promising startups of 2026 with headquarters in Spain. We were founded in Barcelona, and since then, we've expanded to include offices in Madrid, Lisbon, Berlin, Paris and Milan. This is only the beginning as we've got our sights set on spreading to the rest of Europe and later to include other continents as well .
Ukio's mission is to empower individuals to live where they want, when they want . We do this by disrupting the traditional residential real estate market, providing fully furnished and artfully designed apartments for stays starting at one month. We remove all the hassle around finding a rental with no long-term contracts, security deposits, broker fees, moving/buying furniture, etc., giving choice and flexibility to allow people to plant their roots anywhere .
Backed by Europe's best Venture Capital firms, this year will be vital in our growth as we look to further build out our team, further establish ourselves in our current markets, and expand our reach into multiple new markets . We are currently ranked in the top 10 startups in Spain by Linkedin, and we have successfully raised a Series A investment round of €27 million that will help propel our growth throughout Western Europe and bring us closer to reaching our goals.

Role |
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities intern to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of our apartments in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will have strong organization skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
Responsibilities |
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Maintenance Coordination: Help coordinate daily maintenance tasks, such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, and appliance replacements.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships and keep tabs with external contractors and vendors, including scheduling appointments and reviewing invoices.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Identify and Address Issues: Proactively identify potential maintenance issues and take steps to address them before they escalate.
- Schedule and Coordinate: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all apartments.
- Monitor and Track: Track the status of preventive maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion.
Additional Responsibilities:
- On-Site Presence: Be available to receive and greet external service providers, such as plumbers, electricians, and cleaning crews.
About you |
- You are currently studying and able to enroll on an internship agreement
- Fluent Spanish level and C1 English level. Catalan is a plus.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Organized, able to follow up processes and to deliver fast follow-up
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable in working with cross-functional teams
- Previous experience in hospitality, property management, or related field is a plus
