Junior Data Scientist

For the Junior Data Scientist position we expect you to:
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into solutions leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Identify, evaluate, and support the deployment of AI-driven solutions.
- Demonstrate knowledge and practical experience in NLP techniques and tools.
- Develop data models and analytical approaches to address specific business problems.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of analytics architectures and solution platforms.
- Possess a good understanding of cloud technologies and concepts.
- Understand ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data quality management
- Produce high-quality technical and functional documentation for implemented solutions.
- Provide support, guidance, and best practices in the areas of NLP, ML, and AI.
- Collaborate effectively with business and technical teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
Your experience, skillset and qualifications are going to help you succeed in this position, moving forward.
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field will be considered a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in software development with strong Python programming skills.
- Hands-on experience building AI/LLM-based applications, including retrieval systems, prompting, agent orchestration, tool integration, and evaluation frameworks.
- Expοsure to analytics platforms and basic familiarity with at least one major cloud platform.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to client technical teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to adapt to rapidly evolving AI technologies and tools.
- Exposure to projects or experience in regulated industries such as utilities, banking, insurance, energy, public sector, or similar environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with self-hosted or open-source AI model deployments is desirable.
