JOB PURPOSE

This role exists to play a strong role in landing a comprehensive supply chain project. The job holder will work closely with internal Unilever functions (Research and Development, Supply Chain, Supply Management and Marketing), external suppliers and third parties to cover all aspects of the development and deployment of Condiments portfolio.

In this role, you’ll be developing technology and science to bring condiment products into life. You’ll be improving our products and portfolio in any way possible, making them more appealing, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly. You’ll get hands-on experience by working in one of the world’s leading consumer goods companies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review existing raw materials and simplify them to utilize the sourcing units efficiently, amend the recipes accordingly including the completion of stability and shelf-life tests.
  • Review Process and Instrumentation Diagrams and identify where processes in the closing and receiving sites are similar and differ, design new compliant processes working in collaboration with the global team.
  • Design product formulation compliant with the new equipment and processing
  • Review and identify all contingency options for alternative processing to ensure uninterrupted business
  • Track the progress of the R&D network and take on time actions to ensure on time project delivery
  • Define and communicate an operating window of specs and identify the range of existing product quality variations.
  • Partner in commissioning the equipment and line in a planned and structured way using specified products, process design and packaging
  • Work in multi-functional teams (with Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, CSP, and other associated functions), owning and driving the adherence to a full project timeline
  • Ensure the compliance of the work to the Unilever Code of Business Principles and all SHEQA policies, including the support of product claims, risk management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in Food Engineering
  • Preferable 1-2 years of experience in research, design, manufacturing, and/or technical product management with basic understanding of Foods Science and Technology
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • English communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, good hands-on skills and fast actions
  • Results-driven; detail-oriented
