Sales Executive

Purpose of the Role

The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth, customer acquisition, market penetration, and business development within the assigned territory. The role focuses on developing strong relationships with HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Caterers), QSRs, Cloud Kitchens, Bakery & Confectionery outlets, and Food Service distributors to deliver profitable growth for Unilever Food Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Growth & Business Development

• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Drive primary and secondary sales growth within the assigned territory.
• Increase product penetration across existing and new customers.
• Expand outlet coverage and improve customer productivity.
• Execute market development plans to generate incremental business. ________________________________________ 2. Customer Management
• Build and maintain relationships with chefs, restaurant owners, food service operators, and purchasing managers.
• Conduct regular customer visits as per journey plan.
• Identify business opportunities within existing accounts.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and service standards.
• Handle customer concerns and coordinate timely resolutions. ________________________________________ 3. Distributor Management
• Work closely with appointed distributors to drive offtake.
• Ensure adequate stock availability across all SKUs.
• Monitor distributor investments, inventory, and receivables.
• Drive market coverage through effective distributor operations.
• Conduct periodic distributor business reviews. ________________________________________ 4. Product & Menu Solutions Selling
• Promote UFS product portfolio including: o Seasonings o Gravies o Sauces & Ketchup o Mayonnaise o Tomato Puree & Paste o Culinary Solutions
• Demonstrate product applications and value proposition.
• Collaborate with Chef Executives for customer activations and product trials.
• Convert trials into sustainable business. ________________________________________ 5. Market Execution
• Execute national and regional promotional programs.
• Ensure visibility and merchandising standards.
• Track competition activities, pricing, and market developments.
• Provide regular market intelligence and customer insights. ________________________________________ 6. Territory Management
• Plan and execute daily market visits.
• Maintain customer database and sales records.
• Ensure optimum route planning and productivity.
• Track performance against KPIs and take corrective actions. ________________________________________ 7. Team Management
• Plan and execute daily market visits.
• Train and groom team on the job.
• Ensure optimum productivity and regular KPI monitoring of team.
• Reporting to management about team tasks assigned. ________________________________________
