Role Summary

The Technology Lead - Palletizing Systems is the technical owner of all automatic palletizing equipment across the manufacturing site. This role is responsible for defining the technology roadmap, standardizing equipment, improving system reliability, maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and designing robust, operator-centric solutions that improve safety, productivity, and ease of operation.

The Technology Lead partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Automation, Quality, Supply Chain, Safety, and external OEMs to develop sustainable engineering solutions while promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, technical excellence, and manufacturing standardization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the technical strategy for all palletizing systems.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Lead equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize OEE.
  • Design simple, robust, and user-friendly systems that reduce operator intervention and human error.
  • Standardize equipment architecture, spare parts, automation philosophy, and maintenance practices.
  • Lead root cause analysis of chronic failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Support capital projects from concept through commissioning and startup.
  • Work closely with operators to understand operational challenges and translate them into engineering improvements.
  • Coach and mentor maintenance technicians and engineers on palletizing technology.
  • Collaborate with OEMs to implement best-in-class solutions.
  • Ensure all designs comply with safety, ergonomic, and manufacturing standards.
  • Drive predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Define long-term technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience with automatic palletizing systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex equipment improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, servo systems, conveyors, and industrial automation.
  • Experience in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Reliability Engineering, and OEE improvement.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
