UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. SCOPE OF THE ROLE
As aSeniorMobile Developer (Android), You willbe responsible formanaging and supporting mobile banking application in Production environment. This is for L3 production fixes and includes analysis and design for development, implementation,testingand support.
You will alsobe responsible forquality assurance ofteamdelivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software deliverymethodologyand tools. You will partner closely with the Digital Banking leads to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
Other responsibilities include:
Provide technical leadership for the squad, ensuring adherence to standards and policies and enforcing the Definition of Done and Definition of Ready
Enable the team and removing impediments and blockers for the squad
Act as the focal point of contact for technical resolutions while managing the incident,problemand knowledge management processes for the applications in scope
Plan,coordinateand manage the work within the Squad
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support Product Owners to manage backlog
Work closely with the Technical Delivery Manager, System Analyst and Tribe Lead in terms of overall solution and deliverability
Providetimelyupdates and report to management
Work with business stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall book of work against the team’s capacity
Contribute to improvement initiatives relating to methods, tools, people, architecture, projectmanagementand governance
Provide insight, measurement,accountabilityand a positive working environment
Key Requirements
Strong experience in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, UI design with XML and Jetpack Compose, RESTful API, SQLite, MVC/MVP/MVVM design pattern, Git and microservices architecture
At least 6 years’ experience in software development, preferably in digital banking OR Mobile Development
Degree in Computer Science,Engineeringor similar domain; Additional professional/technical qualifications will beadvantageousalthough not mandatory
Hands-on experience in leading squads/teams of 6 to 8 people, in terms of task management as well as technical decisions
Familiarity with web content management systems, Adobe Experience Manager Forms and Sites and/or TeamSite would be good to have
Experienced with Agile processes and practices as well as Jira & Confluence
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling will be an added advantage
Havegood experienceand understanding of Retail, Digital or Internet Banking domain
Strong communicationand organization skills to collaborate effectively within the squad and with other stakeholders
