Job Description

Job Description : VP, Business Development and Unsecured Products.

Drive business growth, product management, operational governance, and strategic initiatives for Personal Loan Products and UOBCAP business operations. Ensure business sustainability, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and effective stakeholder management to achieve organizational objectives.

1.Business Development

• Drive growth and profitability of Personal Loan Products through acquisition and portfolio expansion.
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns, digital acquisition initiatives, referral programs, and sales promotion activities.
• Manage UOBCAP Co-location and In-Branch business models to achieve business targets and optimize channel performance.
• Monitor business performance and recommend actions to support growth objectives.

2. Product Management

• Develop and enhance product features and service offerings to improve competitiveness and customer experience.
• Monitor product performance and customer insights to identify enhancement opportunities.
• Coordinate with business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams to successfully launch and implement product initiatives.

3. Operations & Business Governance

• Oversee operational processes and controls supporting Personal Loan and UOBCAP business operations.
• Manage banking arrangements, fund flow processes, cash management services, internet banking, bill payment platforms, and account administration.
• Ensure operational efficiency through process improvements, system enhancements, and workflow optimization.
• Monitor service delivery and coordinate with internal support functions to maintain operational effectiveness.
• Support audit requirements, regulatory reporting, and business continuity activities.

4. Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance standards.
• Manage outsourcing governance, service agreements, risk assessments, and related approvals.
• Coordinate and oversee KYC reviews, delegated authority management, SEC-related submissions, and regulatory reporting obligations.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.

5. Project & Strategic Initiative Management

• Lead and coordinate strategic projects, business transformation initiatives, and cost optimization programs.
• Manage project implementation from planning through execution, including resource coordination and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, customer experience, and operational effectiveness.
• Support organizational projects requiring cross-functional collaboration and executive-level reporting.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Banking, or related fields.
• MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Consumer Banking, Retail Banking, Consumer Finance, Personal Loans, Unsecured Lending, Credit Cards, or related financial services.
• At least 5 years in a senior management role with responsibility for business growth, product management, and strategic initiatives.

• Proven track record in driving acquisition, portfolio growth, revenue, and profitability for unsecured lending products.
• Strong experience in product development, product lifecycle management, and customer experience enhancement.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders across Business, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Finance, and Legal teams.
• Hands-on experience leading business transformation, digital initiatives, process improvement, or operational excellence programs.
• Familiarity with outsourcing governance, audit, regulatory reporting, and operational risk management processes.
• Experience in consumer lending, personal loan, digital lending, or consumer finance business is highly preferred.
