The USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy (TCOP) is managed by the Dean and an actively engaged administrative leadership team. The college's mission is to Transform Health by educating students to become outstanding, successful practitioners and leaders in the profession; leading discovery and innovation in pharmacy education and practice; and delivering the highest-quality care in diverse, interprofessional clinical and community settings.

The Assistant Director of Graduate Programs supports the administration, coordination, and implementation of Graduate Program operations and initiatives. This position assists with student recruitment and outreach efforts, coordinates student-related activities and special events, supports curriculum administration and academic program processes, analyzes and reports assessment data, and oversees administrative and operational functions that contribute to the success of Graduate Programs.

The Assistant Director collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and university partners to ensure effective delivery of Graduate Program services, maintain accurate program records and communications, support approved curriculum implementation, and ensure program materials remain current and compliant with university policies and procedures. This position also coordinates onboarding activities, maintains operational documentation, supports committee activities, and assists with special projects and strategic priorities as assigned.

This position is fully in-office, with typical operational hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, and is located at the Water Street District - Tampa Campus.

Program Recruitment and Outreach (25%)

  • Coordinate recruitment activities that support enrollment goals and program growth.

  • Initiate outreach efforts with prospective students, feeder programs, affiliated organizations, and external partners.

  • Assist with planning and coordinating recruitment events, information sessions, orientations, and other program engagement activities.

  • Maintain recruitment communications, program materials, and related administrative records.

  • Serve on the Admissions Committee to review all prospective applications.

Student Related Activities and Service Committees (25%)

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage special events (graduate orientations, research events, marketing events).

  • Serve as representation on all related meetings and committees including OGS Round up meetings, program director meetings, curriculum committee, and student wellness initiatives.

  • Remain up to date with all student policy requirements specific to domestic and international student enrollment.

Curriculum Administration and Academic Program Support (20%)

  • Oversee and maintain curriculum records, program documentation, and course offering information.

  • Lead curriculum review, revision, and implementation processes in collaboration with faculty and program leadership. Coordinate implementation of approved curriculum changes and updates.

  • Lead and assistant faculty and staff with academic scheduling, documentation, and course-related administrative processes for semesterly planning.

  • Ensure program materials, handbooks, websites, and related resources reflect current curriculum and policy information.

  • Lead analysis and reporting of program assessment data and student outcome measures.

Training, Onboarding, and Administrative Operations (20%)

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new staff and student employees.

  • Develop and maintain onboarding materials, process documentation, and operational guides.

  • Oversee administrative support for meetings, correspondence, records management, and operational processes.

  • Oversee special projects and program initiatives as assigned.

Other Duties as Assigned (10%)

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities in support of Graduate Program operations and strategic priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of four years related exempt experience, including two years of supervisory experience.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

  • Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate (https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2023/1310) is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S.

  • SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements

  • A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:

    • (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;

    • (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;

    • (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;

    • (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or

    • (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree

  • Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.

  • Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.

USF experience and/or experience in higher education with a master's degree.
