Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 gross per annum

About the role:

We are seeking an organised and proactive Accommodation Coordinator to coordinate accommodation arrangements and support a safe, positive experience for our international students, with a particular focus on students under 18.

You will coordinate placements, accommodation changes and holiday arrangements, maintain accurate documentation, and work closely with students, parents, agents, accommodation providers and internal teams. The role requires sound judgement, attention to detail and a responsive approach to accommodation and student welfare concerns.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate homestay placements and Designated Caregiver arrangements, ensuring the required documentation and confirmations are completed.
  • Coordinate accommodation and welfare processes for students under 18, following college policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Under 18 Holiday Plan process, including distributing forms, following up with students and families, and confirming arrangements with accommodation providers.
  • Coordinate accommodation changes, transfers and student requests, keeping relevant parties informed.
  • Respond to accommodation enquiries and provide clear information to students, parents, agents, providers and internal teams.
  • Work with accommodation providers and the wider college team to resolve accommodation issues, escalating welfare concerns when required.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential student, accommodation and compliance records across relevant systems.
  • Issue accommodation invoices, monitor payments and follow up outstanding amounts or discrepancies.
  • Participate in the rotating 24/7 emergency phone roster, responding to urgent matters and following established escalation procedures.
  • You will bring empathy, cultural awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and timely follow-up.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in student accommodation coordination, international student support or a closely related role.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple arrangements, deadlines and follow-ups.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with students, families, agents, accommodation providers and colleagues.
  • Sound judgement when handling sensitive information and student welfare concerns.
  • Accuracy when managing documentation, invoices and payment records.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM or student management systems.
  • The ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Availability to participate in the rotating after-hours emergency phone roster.
  • Experience supporting international students, particularly students under 18, would be an advantage.
