#134303 - Software Engineer - AI Developer Productivity

We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to apply AI coding assistants and large language models to everyday software development. This role will build capabilities that automate workflows, increase engineering efficiency, and improve developer productivity while diagnosing and resolving coding and AI-related issues. The work includes new product features, Model Context Protocol capabilities, agentic developer environments, and supporting tooling and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Apply AI coding assistants to improve productivity across everyday software-development work.

- Use large language models effectively for coding, debugging, and automation.

- Design and refine prompts to improve AI performance and output quality.

- Develop product features involving Model Context Protocol capabilities, related frameworks and harnesses, agentic developer environments, and supporting tooling and infrastructure.

- Diagnose and resolve coding and AI-related issues.

- Take technical ownership of implementation challenges and communicate solutions clearly.

Must-Have Skills

- 5+ years of software-development experience.

- Hands-on experience with AI and agentic development.

- Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or comparable tools.

- Strong understanding of AI principles and underlying technologies.

- Applied experience using large language models rather than building foundation models.

- Prompt-engineering skills to craft effective prompts that optimize AI output.

- Hands-on development experience in Java or Go; Java is preferred.

- Experience with Git.

- Strong problem-solving skills and technical ownership.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve development challenges using AI tools.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience with AI coding tools beyond Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.

- Familiarity with additional AI-assisted development platforms and tools.

- Enterprise experience strongly preferred.

Required Tools & Platforms

- Java or Go, with Java preferred.

- Git.

- Large language models and prompt-engineering workflows.

Location, Time & Engagement

- Candidates must be based in LATAM.

- Full US Central Time coverage is required.

- This is a contract engagement at 40 hours per week.

- The anticipated engagement runs through March 31, 2027.

- This is not currently a contract-to-hire opportunity.
