We are currently hiring Medical Assistants in or near Jefferson County, Madison County, and Warren County, Kentucky for a field-based Travel Medical Assistant role supporting patients throughout the state.

This is a statewide Kentucky travel position. While we are recruiting from these specific areas, assignments are not limited to one county. You must be comfortable traveling throughout Kentucky based on patient coverage needs.

The Opportunity

This role is focused on preventive care, care-gap support, patient relationships, and accurate documentation, not urgent care.

You’ll visit patients in their homes for wellness-focused appointments such as Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits.

You’ll be a strong fit if you enjoy direct patient care, can manage your day independently, and are comfortable traveling to different Kentucky markets based on patient coverage needs.

What You Will Own

• Complete scheduled home-based wellness visits throughout Kentucky

• Support Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits

• Gather and document patient information accurately in an EMR/EHR system

• Perform basic point-of-care support such as vitals, urinalysis support, A1C support, screenings, and questionnaires

• Help patients feel comfortable, respected, and unrushed during visits

• Manage a mobile field workflow while traveling between patient homes

• Follow assigned schedules and visit expectations while maintaining reliable communication and documentation

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience

• Medical Assistant credential, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualification

• Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience with direct patient care responsibilities

• Comfort working independently in patient homes

• Comfortable with local, same-day, and extended travel assignments throughout Kentucky

• Ability to travel statewide based on business and patient coverage needs

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license for local or same-day visits

• Ideally located in or near Jefferson, Madison, or Warren County, KY

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience conducting Annual Wellness Visits

• Experience conducting Well-Child Visits

• Prior home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experience

• Experience documenting patient visits in an EMR/EHR system

Travel Expectations

This is a statewide Travel Medical Assistant role within Kentucky.

We are currently hiring candidates in or near:

• Jefferson County, KY

• Madison County, KY

• Warren County, KY

These counties represent our current hiring areas, but your home visits will not be limited to your local county. Assignments may take you to different areas throughout Kentucky depending on patient and business coverage needs.

This role requires travel within Kentucky only. There is no nationwide or out-of-state travel requirement.

Schedules are typically provided about 2 weeks in advance, including where you’ll be going, when visits are scheduled, and how long visits are expected to last.

For local or same-day visits, you may use your own reliable vehicle, with eligible mileage reimbursed at $0.725 per mile.

For extended travel assignments within Kentucky, covered travel expenses may include transportation, car rental when needed, hotel, and meals.

Compensation

The expected total compensation is $31 per hour.

You’ll help patients complete important preventive visits, support better health outcomes, and bring care directly to people who may not otherwise access it easily.
