Job Description

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Generative AI solutions using LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Build AI-powered workflows leveraging frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and Microsoft Foundry Agent Services.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications in an Agile environment.
• Develop and support Python-based APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business partners to deliver AI-enabled solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance in production environments.
• Support deployment and operations across Azure and AWS cloud platforms while adhering to security and compliance standards.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerization, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

- Two to three years of relevant experience

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3 years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python development.
• Knowledge of Generative AI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, and RAG architectures.
• Experience or familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools for application deployment and automation.
• Exposure to Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms and cloud-native application development.

Nice To Have

• Java / Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep) and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work effectively in Agile teams.

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
