• Leadthearchitecture,design,development,deployment,andsupport ofcloud-native,scalable,secure,andresilientsoftwaresolutions.

• Build,coach,anddevelophigh-performingengineeringteams,fosteringacultureofownership,innovation,collaboration,andcontinuouslearning.

• DriveadoptionofMicroservices,Event-DrivenArchitecture,Kubernetes, InfrastructureasCode(IaC),CI/CD,andDevSecOps bestpractices.

• PartnerwithProduct,Business,Architecture,Security,andPlatformEngineering teamstodefineandexecutestrategictechnologyroadmaps.

• Providehands-ontechnicalleadership througharchitecturereviews,solutiondesign,codereviews,andcomplextechnicalproblemresolution.

• Leadproductionsupport,incidentmanagement,rootcauseanalysis,andserviceimprovementinitiativestoensureoperationalexcellenceandsystemreliability.

• Championcloudmodernization,platformtransformation,automation,andtechnicaldebtreduction programsthatimprovescalabilityanddeliveryvelocity.

• Drivequarterlyplanning,deliveryexecution,riskmanagement,andaccountabilityforachievingbusinessoutcomes,qualitymetrics,andplatformsustainability.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

- Six to eight years of relevant technical experience

- Five or more years of leading a software engineering team

RequiredSkills&Experience

• 5+yearsofengineeringleadership andpeoplemanagementexperience.

• DeepexpertiseinAWS,Cloud-NativeDevelopment,PlatformEngineering,andlarge-scaleDistributedSystems.

• StrongexperiencedesigningandimplementingRESTAPIs,GraphQLAPIs,Microservices,andEvent-DrivenArchitectures.

• Hands-onexperiencedeployingandoperatingKubernetes andcontainerizedapplications inproductionenvironments.

• StrongknowledgeofCI/CDPipelines, InfrastructureasCode(Terraform/CloudFormation),DevSecOps,andAutomatedTesting practices.

• ExperiencewithObservability,Monitoring, SiteReliabilityEngineering(SRE),PerformanceOptimization,andoperationalsupport.

• ProvensuccessleadingTechnologyModernization,CloudTransformation,Automation,andEngineeringProductivity initiatives,includingadoptionofAI-powereddevelopmenttools.

• ExceptionalLeadership,StakeholderManagement,Communication,andStrategicPlanning skills,withtheabilitytoinfluencecross-functionalteamsanddrivemeasurablebusinessvalue.

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
