USG Corporation, also known as United States Gypsum, is a Chicago-headquartered manufacturer of building materials, including gypsum wallboard, joint compound, acoustical ceiling tiles, flooring underlayment, sheathing and roofing products. Formed in 1902 and owned by the German Knauf group since 2019, it runs a network of plants, mines and quarries with about 49 manufacturing locations and 7,000 employees across North America, and its Canadian business trades as CGC. It hires production operators, industrial mechanics and electricians, maintenance and PLC technicians, supply chain operators, plant engineers and corporate staff.

The work is "hands on" and designed to give the student a broad view of manufacturing. The Project Engineer - Co-op will be given "real" assignments that will have an impact within the facility.

USG has Project Engineer - Co-op opportunities at multiple manufacturing locations across the U.S.

USG employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families. These include two medical insurance options, as well as vision and dental coverage. These coverage options are offered on the first day of employment with no waiting period.

Additionally, USG employees enjoy both a 401(k) Investment Plan with company match and a pension plan. Beyond these main features, employees may also choose from a number of additional programs like life insurance, accident insurance, legal insurance, even pet insurance, just to name a few.
