Clerk-Senior (UT Police Department)

• Provides clerical support to a department(s) and performs clerical duties such as photocopying, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information, and distributing mail.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement of workflows and proactively works with management to implement improvements as appropriate.
• Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine problems.
• Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments' functions to perform assigned duties.
• Assists in the completion of special projects and reports as needed.
• Monitors security cameras and dispatches parking-related calls as needed; location may vary based on departmental needs.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Able to understand and act on written instructions.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.
• Detail oriented.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
