Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Accounting Associate, you will serve as a senior-level individual contributor responsible for ensuring accurate and timely project cost accounting for U.S. government contracting operations. Working independently with limited supervision, you will perform advanced accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, billing support, financial reporting, and audit preparation. In this role, you will research and resolve complex accounting issues, collaborate closely with program finance and accounting teams, and help maintain complete, compliant, and reliable financial records. Research and resolve issues involving burdens, organizational structures, project and account coding, revenue calculations, billing calculations, and related system configuration.
  • Financial and contract reporting
    • Prepare recurring close reports, invoice support, and contract deliverables, including applicable CDRL reporting. Perform detailed quality reviews for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance before submission.
  • Compliance and audit support

  • Process expertise and team support
    • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for established cost-accounting processes and systems. Provide peer guidance and training, maintain process documentation and checklists, identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency, and assist with testing and implementation of process or system changes.
