Internship Community Management

We are looking for a Community Management Intern who is proactive, organised, and genuinely interested in social media and digital communities.

You will help to manage ProductNation’s online communities across social media platforms (including Discord), engage with our audience, monitor conversations and support campaigns and content initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, understands social media culture, and wants to learn how brands build meaningful relationships with their audience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Community Engagement

• Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and discussions across social media platforms (including Discord). 
• Respond to audience questions and comments in a friendly manner. 
• Engage with followers and encourage meaningful conversations. 
• Identify interesting conversations, trends and audience feedback that could benefit the team. 
• Help to maintain a positive and welcoming community environment.

2. Social Media Community Management

• Assist in managing communities across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Threads and other relevant platforms.
• Monitor audience reactions to posts, campaigns, and videos.
• Escalate important questions, complaints, or issues to the relevant team members.
• Keep track of frequently asked questions and recurring audience concerns.

3. Audience & Community Insights

• Monitor what the audience is talking about and identify common interests, questions, and pain points.
• Collect useful audience feedback and share insights with the content and marketing teams.
• Track basic community metrics such as comments, replies, engagement, follower growth and sentiment.
• Help identify potential content ideas based on community conversations.

4. Campaign & Content Support

• Support community engagement during campaigns, product launches, giveaways and promotional activities.
• Help prepare responses, FAQs, captions, or engagement prompts when needed.
• Assist with social media activities such as polls, Q&As, contests, and other engagement initiatives.
• Support the team in promoting workshops, courses, and other ProductNation initiatives.

5. Community Research

• Research relevant online communities, creators, trends, and conversations related to technology, gadgets, lifestyle, and content creation.
• Identify potential communities or platforms where ProductNation can participate and build awareness.
• Monitor competitor and industry community activities.

6. Reporting & Administration

• Prepare basic weekly/monthly community management reports.
• Document useful audience insights and recurring questions.
• Assist with other digital marketing and campaign operations when required.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Communications, Mass Communication, Media, Business, or a related field.
• Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, technology, and online communities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with people online.
• Good command of English; Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
• Familiar with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Threads.
• Basic understanding of social media trends and content.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive and willing to learn.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude.
