Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm (site based)

Be the person who keeps our Engineering team moving.

At Valeo Foods UK, our Norwich site is home to one of the nation’s favourite snacks - kettle chips! Behind every bag is a busy factory, a brilliant team and a whole lot of engineering that keeps everything running safely, efficiently and reliably.

We’re looking for an Engineering Planner to join our Engineering team and become the linchpin that keeps the department organised, prepared and one step ahead.

This is a role where planning, organisation and coordination are everything. You’ll bring together planned maintenance, engineering activity, contractors, compliance and day-to-day priorities to make sure the right work happens at the right time.

An engineering background would be a fantastic bonus, but it isn’t essential. What really matters is that you’re an excellent planner who can organise activity, manage competing priorities and make things happen.

What will you be doing?

You’ll play a central role in keeping our Engineering department on track, including:

  • Managing and coordinating the site’s planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Planning and coordinating third-party contractors and engineering works
  • Managing the day-to-day engineering plan and ensuring planned work is delivered effectively
  • Coordinating engineering activities with production and other departments to minimise disruption
  • Supporting engineering compliance and audit requirements
  • Working closely with the Engineering team to ensure maintenance activities are planned, scheduled and completed
  • Supporting food safety compliance and ensuring engineering activities meet site standards
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring actions and planned works are followed through
  • Using SHIRE PARANHA as part of the engineering planning process
  • Ensuring engineering work is appropriately planned, scheduled and recorded within the relevant systems
  • Staying ahead of upcoming maintenance, contractor visits, compliance requirements and other engineering activity
  • Acting as the central point of coordination for what’s happening, when it’s happening and who needs to be involved

Ultimately, you’ll help make sure that nothing gets missed.

What are we looking for?

We’re more interested in how you work and what makes you tick than whether you've spent your career in engineering.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Has strong planning and organisational skills
  • Can manage multiple priorities and keep everything moving
  • Is naturally proactive and likes to stay one step ahead
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Is confident coordinating different people, teams and contractors
  • Can work at pace and respond quickly when priorities change
  • Communicates clearly and builds strong working relationships
  • Is comfortable working with schedules, systems, data and deadlines
  • Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion

Ready to make your mark?

Join Valeo Foods UK and become the person who helps keep our Engineering team - and our kettle chip factory - running like clockwork.

If you’re an organised, proactive planner who loves making things happen, we want to hear from you.
