Valsoft is a Canadian company founded in 2015 that acquires and permanently holds vertical market software businesses rather than reselling them. It buys established, often founder-owned products serving narrow industries such as transport, hospitality, insurance, healthcare and utilities, then keeps them operating under their own brands with centralised support for finance, hiring and best practice. Headquartered in Montreal, it has completed well over a hundred acquisitions and operates on the model that a small software business serving an unglamorous industry can be extremely durable if it is never asked to grow beyond its market.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Business Development Manager to help expand OASES's customer base.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for aviation and enterprise software who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and helping airlines, MROs and CAMOs achieve their airworthiness, compliance and operational goals through proven maintenance software.

You will work closely with Head of Sales and Marketing team to identify leads, qualify opportunities, prepare proposals, and support the full sales cycle - from first contact through to contract signing.

Our Aviation group delivers mission-critical software solutions that empower airlines, airports, and aviation service providers to operate efficiently and safely. From maintenance planning and flight operations to compliance and resource management, our products enable customers to optimize performance, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance.

As part of a global network of specialized software companies, our aviation teams operate with entrepreneurial agility while benefiting from shared expertise, innovation, and best practices across the wider Valsoft group.

ABOUT TAG SOFTWARE GROUP:

Our in-house team delivers an efficient, transparent, and seller-friendly process, ensuring speed and certainty of close. Once part of TAG, your company gains access to proven best practices, dedicated value-creation resources, and the extended ecosystem of our sister companies, including proprietary in-house technology including and - helping your business reach the next level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities across airlines, MROs, CAMOs, lessors and spares suppliers
  • Research prospects to understand their fleet profile, regulatory environment (EASA / FAA / other), and maintenance and airworthiness challenges
  • Generate and manage a consistent sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and inbound leads
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and sales documentation in collaboration with product and pre-sales teams, mapping OASES modules to customer requirements
  • Support client presentations, software demonstrations, and commercial negotiations
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers - Maintenance & Engineering Directors, CAMO Managers, Heads of Airworthiness, IT and Procurement leads
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, customer success, professional services and support teams to ensure a smooth handover and long-term customer satisfaction
  • Meet and exceed sales activity and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management
  • Experience with outbound sales motions across B2B / enterprise sales cycles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Comfort selling into technical or operational environments and engaging technical stakeholders
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aviation, MRO/CAMO, or enterprise/SaaS software - familiarity with continuing airworthiness, maintenance planning, or fleet management concepts is a strong advantage
  • Awareness of aviation regulatory frameworks (EASA Part-M / Part-CAMO, FAA)
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and industry events (e.g., MRO trade shows)
  • Team-oriented, ambitious, and eager to grow within an international organization.

Benefits

  • Work at the intersection of aviation and technology, helping airlines, MROs, and CAMOs stay safe, compliant, and airworthy.
  • Sell software that solves real regulatory and operational problems for engineering directors, CAMO managers, and airworthiness leads - not a commodity product.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from first outreach to contract signing, with direct support from the Head of Sales, product, and pre-sales teams.
  • Build deep, hard-to-replicate expertise in the niche aviation MRO/CAMO software space.
  • Benefit from the agility of a focused aviation specialist backed by the resources and expertise of the wider Valsoft group.
