Python Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and REST APIs using Python.
- Build backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Develop efficient data-processing workflows and integrations.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent databases.
- Implement query optimization, indexing, and efficient database operations.
- Work with ORMs such as SQLAlchemy or equivalent technologies.
- Integrate LLM APIs from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models into backend applications.
- Develop and optimize prompts for different business use cases through effective prompt engineering.
- Work with agent frameworks such as LangChain or similar frameworks where required.
- Build secure, scalable, and production-ready AI-powered backend services.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and AI teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement automated testing, monitoring, and performance improvements.
- Follow software development best practices including version control, code reviews, and documentation.
DevOps & Cloud Responsibilities:
- Work with Git and CI/CD pipelines for automated development and deployment.
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy/manage workloads using Kubernetes.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Support production deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices is an added advantage.
Required Candidate Profile:
- 5 - 9 years of experience in backend/software development with strong Python expertise.
- Strong proficiency in Python and backend application development.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and backend architecture.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent relational databases.
- Strong understanding of SQL, query optimization, indexing, schema design, and ORMs.
- Practical experience integrating LLM APIs into backend applications.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering and LLM-based application development.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have:
- Experience with LangChain or similar agent frameworks.
- Experience working with open-source LLMs.
- Knowledge of AI agents, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience building AI-powered products or enterprise GenAI applications.
