Accounting Intern

Velogic is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support the Finance Team of one of its subsidiaries, based in Riche Terre.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive invoices and verify them against purchase orders.
• Assist in processing and posting invoices into the accounting system.
• Help verify transactions for compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Support the preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Assist with data entry and journal entries.
• Gather data and assist in the preparation of schedules of expenses and maintain supporting records.
• Help with monthly closing activities.
• Assist in stocktakes.
• Assist with document scanning, filing, and organization.
• Support basic bank and account reconciliations.
• Perform other administrative or accounting-related tasks as required.

Qualification & Competencies:

• Pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
