Intern, Indirect Tax

We are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, and eager-to-learn Indirect Tax Intern to join our Global Tax team.

In this role, you will support experienced colleagues in their daily activities related to indirect tax, gain practical experience in an international environment, and learn how tax processes work in a global organization. You will have the opportunity to work with data, tax documentation, SAP and MS Excel, while collaborating with colleagues from different countries and functions.

What you will learn and experience

• You will learn how to support the Indirect Tax team in day-to-day VAT and indirect tax activities.
• You will get familiar with the preparation of VAT reports (VAT returns, EC Sales List, SAF-T, Intrastat, refund claims) and WHT settlements.
• You will gain hands-on experience in reviewing invoices in SAP S/4HANA, supporting accounting teams with VAT queries, and helping with VAT audits by preparing the required data and documentation.
• You will learn how to perform VAT account reconciliations, clearings, repostings, monitor outstanding balances, and help maintain tax documentation.
• You will develop your tax research skills by following regulatory changes across countries, get to know SAP S/4HANA, and strengthen your practical use of MS Excel (including pivot tables) on financial and tax data.
• You will cooperate with Tax, Finance and Accounting colleagues across countries, join process improvement initiatives, and grow by taking on new tasks along the way.

What we are looking for

• Student or recent graduate, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Taxation, Law or a related field.
• Interest in taxation, finance and working with numbers and data.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
• Analytical and structured approach to work.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize your work and meet deadlines.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with others.
• Previous experience in finance, accounting or taxation is welcome, but not required.
