Overview
The VELUX Group is a Danish maker of roof windows, flat roof skylights and modular skylights for commercial buildings, plus blinds, roller shutters and smart-home controls, headquartered in Hørsholm north of Copenhagen. Founded in 1941 by Villum Kann Rasmussen, it is family- and foundation-owned through VKR Holding, runs about 20 production companies in 12 countries and sales companies in 37 countries, and employs more than 11,000 people. It hires production, maintenance and quality staff, welders and machine operators, sales representatives and engineers, embedded software developers, and strategy, logistics and customer service specialists.
