Verity's AI-powered inventory tracking system delivers real-time, data-driven insights through our intuitive Dashboard, empowering clients to achieve a zero-error warehouse, reduce labor costs, and build more sustainable supply chains. The team focuses on turning drone-collected scan data into high-quality, actionable inventory insights (e.g. stock counts, discrepancy detection, trend analysis, recommendations) through a combination of machine vision, machine learning, AI, edge and cloud computing, and intuitive, data-rich frontend experiences. As Tech Lead, you'll guide and mentor a multidisciplinary group of talented engineers as they tackle complex challenges with innovative, effective solutions.

What You'll Do

• Partner with a Product Manager to lead a cross-functional team in delivering end-to-end solutions for inventory insight generation, from edge data collection to client-facing analytics.
• Manage, coach, and empower a high-performing team to enable consistent, sustainable, and high-quality delivery.
• Get close to clients and the problems they face, spending time on-site and on-calls to understand their needs, and translate ambiguous operational needs into problems that are technically tractable and genuinely valuable to solve.
• Actively contribute hands-on to technical work, particularly in designing and developing solutions that turn raw inventory data into actionable intelligence.
• Own the architecture and technical roadmap for your components, ensuring smooth integration with platform, infrastructure, and other engineering teams across Verity's hardware and software services.
• Champion a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and technical excellence, while leading by example in embodying and evolving our company culture.

Your Experience

• 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams in the successful delivery of complex software as a service products with a strong artificial intelligence and computer/machine vision learning component. Ideally with prior exposure to logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain domains.
• Strong hands-on experience in the disciplines and technologies relevant to the role, with practical proficiency in Python, C++, and AWS.
• Track record in people management, with a passion for mentoring, growing talent, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Deep understanding of agile practices and modern product development, with hands-on experience adopting modern technologies, such as AI tools, to improve the development lifecycle.
• Strong product mindset, with the ability to get close to client needs, scope problems for feasibility and impact, and ensure that what you ship measurably improves operations rather than just benchmark numbers.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken, able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
