As Procurement Specialist, you will be joining Verizon’s central team which is Procurement's point of contact for interaction with all internal stakeholders for cross functional engagement.

This team is tasked with examining end to end processes, and identifying areas of opportunity to engage with other teams to improve existing ways of working, with the overall objective of adding more value to the business.

Specifically this will require the ability to influence our business partners through clearly presenting our new ideas and ensuring buy-in to the new initiative. Additionally, these team members will also be required to present any new ideas to Senior Leadership for approval prior to any launch of a new process.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Resolving problems while developing and identifying areas for process improvements and enhanced operational efficiencies, recommending changes, and establishing plans for implementation.
  • Planning and implementing buying programs.
  • Leading projects and actively managing multiple time-sensitive requests, and effectively interfacing with all levels of management while supporting enhancements to the overall process.
  • Building collaborative relationships by providing partnership and communication, effective both verbally and in writing, with customers and internal teams.
  • Resolving problems while developing and identifying areas for process improvements and enhanced operational efficiencies and recommends changes and establishes plans for implementation.
  • Tracking delivery service levels, and delivering expectations established by internal customers and partners.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Procurement or Supply Chain related field and demonstrated relevant experience.
  • To be considered for this role, applicants must already hold a valid right to work in Ireland. We are currently unable to support employment permit sponsorship.
