VERSANT (Nasdaq: VSNT) is an industry-changing media and entertainment business and home to trusted brands that shape culture, inform audiences, and build lasting connections. It operates across four core markets: political news and opinion, business news and personal finance, golf, and sports and genre entertainment. These markets are served through a powerful portfolio of iconic and innovative brands, including CNBC, MS NOW, USA Network, Golf Channel, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and Versant's sports division USA Sports, along with complementary digital assets including Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow and GolfPass.

This position is part of the Data Insights & Strategic Analytics team and will report to the Senior Director, Measurement Strategy. The Analyst will support efforts to strengthen measurement capabilities across linear, digital and emerging platforms, playing a key role in data reporting, performance monitoring, and the operational processes that underpin the team’s measurement strategy. This includes working hands-on with data, helping to track key metrics, and ensuring the team is well-equipped to interpret and act on measurement insights.

This role is designed for someone eager to build expertise across three core areas: analyzing and working directly with a variety of industry data sets, understanding and monitoring evolving vendor methodologies and their impact on performance, and supporting the day-to-day operations of measurement strategy through vendor coordination and process management. The Analyst will contribute to developing internal fluency with a variety of standard industry data sets (e.g. Nielsen and comScore), along with other platform measurement and audience data sets (e.g. campaign measurement and attribution solutions), as well as emerging first- and second- party data sources.

This role requires comfort working with data in structured environments while also being able to adapt across a range of internal and external platforms over time. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytically curious, and eager to build deep expertise in media measurement across various platforms. They are proactive in working with data, comfortable navigating vendor tools and internal systems, and motivated to understand how measurement methodologies shape real-world performance insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Run and analyze reports using measurement platforms such as Nielsen and comScore, developing a strong working knowledge of underlying data sets
  • Track and document methodology changes from measurement vendors while analyzing trends, anomalies, and shifts in performance across brands and platforms to understand their real-time impact
  • Support the development and maintenance of tracking tools and dashboards to monitor ongoing performance
  • Help manage vendor relationships, including scheduling meetings, support trainings, and follow-ups
  • Maintain documentation related to measurement methodologies, processes, and vendor updates while tracking implementation timelines and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed
  • Support communication and collaboration across internal teams as well as with external measurement partners
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in media, analytics, or measurement for the Analyst position and 3+ years for the Sr. Analyst position
  • Working knowledge of both linear and digital media measurement
  • Experience with Nielsen and comScore measurement
  • Basic familiarity of SQL or Databricks (or similar data querying/processing tools)
  • Familiarity with AI tools and processes
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, data analytics, or a related field

Desired Characteristics

  • Interest in the evolving media and measurement landscape
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious
  • Strong collaborator with a team-first mindset
  • Enthusiasm for learning and continuously building new skills, particularly in emerging measurement approaches and tools
  • Interest in being on the cutting edge of media measurement and contributing to the development of new processes, frameworks, and ways of working
