- Define system assembly sequences and integration procedures for modular DC power configurations
- Document all mechanical connections and interfaces - power bus, signal cable routing, cooling interfaces, grounding paths, and mating sequences
- Create site fit documentation - physical footprint, clearance requirements, and interface dimensions with customer infrastructure
- Coordinate with DFM Engineer on manufacturability of proposed configurations and assembly processes
- Review project designs (mechanical) under Proposals Lead for accuracy to customer site expectations
- Verify requirements traceability - ensure every customer mechanical requirement has a corresponding specification response
- Collaborate with team to ensure mechanical and electrical package content is consistent
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical product design, system integration, or product engineering
- Experience with product layout drawings, assembly documentation, and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) for multi-component assemblies
- Experience defining assembly sequences, mechanical interfaces, and connection specifications
- Understanding of assembly processes, tooling, and DFM/DFA principles
- Ability to produce clear, customer-ready specification and integration documents
