Vertiv is an American company that supplies the power and cooling infrastructure data centres depend on, formed in 2016 when Emerson Electric sold its network power division to Platinum Equity. Its products cover uninterruptible power supplies, switchgear and busway, precision air and liquid cooling, racks and the monitoring software that runs them, sold to hyperscale operators, colocation providers and enterprises. Headquartered in Westerville, Ohio and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, it has become one of the most direct beneficiaries of artificial intelligence build-out because dense computing requires liquid cooling it already makes.

We are currently looking for a Site Supplier Quality Manager to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia!

The Site Supplier Quality Manager serves as the primary quality focal point for contractors performing direct-to-site deliveries across assigned projects. The role supports technical assessments, supplier and contractor qualification, audits, onboarding, and VSAC activities led by Supplier Quality, and coordinates clarification and deployment of project-specific requirements, risk-based verification activities, quality issues, and performance throughout project execution. The position reports functionally to the Regional Supplier Quality Manager and works under the project direction of the assigned Project Quality Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Supplier Quality focal point for suppliers and contractors with direct-to-site deliveries across assigned projects.
  • Support technical assessments, supplier and contractor qualification, audits, onboarding, and VSAC activities led by Supplier Quality, providing project-specific technical, quality, risk, and performance input and recommendations for reassessment, requalification, additional audits, or increased surveillance.
  • Coordinate supplier and contractor induction and project-specific quality workshops with Project Quality, Engineering, and Procurement to clarify technical specifications, quality requirements, documentation, inspection, and acceptance criteria, and confirm common understanding before execution.
  • Coordinate supplier and contractor quality documentation, including ITPs, checklists, quality records, certificates, and project quality deliverables, and support Project Quality review and approval activities.
  • Support implementation of the risk-based Vertiv project and supplier-specific ITPs defined by Project Quality.
  • Coordinate supplier and contractor surveillance, source inspections, FATs, FWTs, witness and Hold Point activities, and other verification activities required by approved ITPs, and require additional verification where identified risks, performance, or quality concerns justify increased oversight.
  • Define and coordinate inspection resource needs, including internal PQSI/QC resources, technical specialists, and third-party inspection services, according to identified risks.
  • Coordinate quality interfaces between Project Quality, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Site Quality, suppliers, contractors, customers, and inspection agencies.
  • Monitor supplier and contractor quality performance, inspection status, risks, nonconformities, corrective actions, and open issues across assigned projects, and escalate significant risks, recurring issues, verification gaps, resource constraints, and non-compliant deliverables.
  • Coordinate containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification for supplier and contractor quality issues, and prevent shipment release, acceptance, installation, or progression beyond defined Hold Points until required inspections, documentation, approvals, and acceptance criteria are satisfied.
  • Support incoming verification, installation readiness, commissioning, site acceptance, handover, and closeout activities related to supplier and contractor scope.
  • Maintain required inspection, issue, performance, and project quality records, provide project execution feedback to Supplier Quality, and support targeted supplier and contractor development activities where performance gaps or project risks are identified, particularly for new suppliers.
  • Support lessons learned and continuous improvement activities related to supplier and contractor quality performance.
  • Build effective working relationships with suppliers, contractors, customers, and project stakeholders and comply with company health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
