Responsibilities
Vertiv’s Experience Design Group is looking for a user experience intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with senior designers, product managers, and developers to help shape user experiences for our web, mobile, and industrial applications. You will assist with user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing to solve real customer problems. This is a hands-on learning opportunity designed to kickstart your career in UX.
· User Research: Assist in conducting user interviews, surveys, and competitive analyses to understand user needs and behaviors.
· Design & Prototyping: Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma.
· Testing & Iteration: Participate in usability testing sessions, gather feedback, and help translate insights into design improvements.
· Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and marketing to ensure designs align with user and business goals.
· Design Systems: Help maintain and update UI components, style guides, and design documentation.
Qualifications
Competitive/ideal candidates must have the following skills/experience:
· Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, or a related field.
· Portfolio: A portfolio of academic, personal, or professional projects showcasing a user-centered design process, wireframes, and prototypes.
· Technical Skills: Familiarity with standard design and prototyping software (e.g., Figma).
· Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present design ideas clearly.
