About the Role

This is an opportunity to shape how one of the fastest-evolving companies in advertising shows up in the market. As Senior Director of Content & Demand, you’ll have a significant role in building Verve’s content and demand engine from the ground up - defining our one of voice, creating differentiated points of view, and developing programs that make Verve more visible, relevant, and memorable to our audiences.

You’ll bring together storytelling, thought leadership, and demand generation to turn Verve’s data, technology, customer insights, and perspective on the market into engaging content. You’ll partner closely with Product, Sales, Communications, and executive leadership, while also building the processes, programs, and measurement needed to scale the function.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker and exceptional storyteller who is equally comfortable developing the big idea and rolling up their sleeves to make it happen. If you’re excited by the opportunity to build, have strong editorial instincts, and want to make a visible impact on a growing global brand, this is a chance to do just that.

Role Responsibilities

This role will focus on scaling Verve’s content, demand and marketing operations to build an integrated  content marketing engine that drives visibility, engagement, and commercial growth. This role will report to the VP of Marketing, based in NYC.

  • Own Verve’s marketing content strategy and editorial roadmap, defining priorities, audiences, formats, and distribution strategy across owned channels.
  • Translate proprietary research, data, and market insights into compelling, insights-driven content.
  • Lead demand generation strategy and execution, overseeing CRM, inbound lead management, audience engagement, and campaign tracking to generate qualified demand pipeline.
  • Develop and optimize Verve’s organic and paid media strategy to expand reach, engage priority audiences, and support demand generation.
  • Establish and evolve Verve’s editorial voice and content standards, ensuring a consistent and differentiated experience across channels.
  • Partner with the communications team to manage Verve’s thought leadership program, identifying opportunities for executive-led content, bylines and more.
  • Lead Verve’s website content strategy, ensuring the site clearly communicates the company’s value proposition and supports brand and business objectives.
  • Establish measurement framework to connect audience engagement to pipeline and broader business outcomes.
  • Build and manage external partnerships with writers, creators, agencies, and other specialists to extend team capabilities and scale execution.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

  • Becomes a subject-matter expert on Verve and the market. Develops a strong understanding of Verve’s business, products, audiences, and competitive landscape, and consistently brings new ideas and perspectives that elevate the company’s content and market presence.
  • Builds a differentiated content engine. Establishes a strategic content strategy and editorial roadmap, launches new content series and programs, and significantly elevates the quality, consistency, and impact of Verve’s content.
  • Strengthens the digital experience. Leads a meaningful overhaul of Verve’s website content and experience, ensuring it clearly communicates Verve’s value proposition and supports both brand and business objectives.
  • Creates a measurable demand engine. Establishes the processes, programs, and reporting needed to understand content and demand performance, improve audience engagement, and demonstrate contribution to pipeline and commercial growth.
  • Operates as a strategic partner across the organization. Builds strong relationships with cross-functional teams, becoming a trusted partner for translating business priorities and market insights into compelling stories and programs.

Role Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience in content marketing, demand generation, or integrated marketing, ideally within adtech, media, advertising, or a similarly complex B2B technology environment.
  • Proven experience developing and executing content strategies, including thought leadership, whitepapers, research, editorial programs, and integrated campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of the advertising and media ecosystem, with the ability to quickly develop expertise and turn complex industry topics into compelling stories and points of view.
  • Exceptional writer and storyteller with a strong editorial instinct and the ability to create content that is distinctive, relevant, and genuinely worth engaging with.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop differentiated content concepts, franchises, and programs that cut through a crowded market.
  • Experience building and optimizing demand generation programs, including CRM, inbound, audience engagement, campaign measurement, and lead management.
  • Strong analytical and operational skills, with experience establishing measurement frameworks and using data to optimize marketing performance.
  • Self-starter and strategic thinker who can move seamlessly between developing the big idea and driving execution, while collaborating effectively across functions and managing external partners.
