ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

The main function of Commercial Planner is to lead the planning and buying process for KR in closely working with APAC counterparts to be able to elevate the business performance. At the same time, it is to work closely with Retail, Wholesale & E-commerce team to ensure smooth communication between office & stores; coordinate resources & backend support necessary for the stores and provide comprehensive reports & data to facilitate the business decision.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Accountable for DTC categories achievement of category & classification targets, inventory levels, ST, and productivity.
  • Determine strategies and tactics to achieve collaboratively owned targets for seasonal buy, revenue growth targets and inventory management.
  • Build a best in class product assortments that prioritize brand storytelling, head-to-toe customer experience and maximize sales.
  • Drive assortment efficiency through ST improvements, RSP opportunities, volume drivers and market specific adaptation
  • Partner with Retail Planning to establish product plans for each season in $ and unit based on Merchant’s Assortment Range.
  • Own and Drive seasonal newness depth planning and determine appropriate order depth through analytics
  • Partner with Category Planning Team to provide key insight on 24-month Merchandise Finance Plan rolling.
  • Partner with Retail Planning & Inventory Planning Team on “chasing” or “reflowing” receipts as appropriate with consideration of commercial needs and operation constraints.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that not only track performance but drive business performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Evaluates store profile by performance of product and improve buying strategies. Consolidate store order enquiries & requests, follow up product deliveries and communicate with stores on product information
  • Track product performance results and make recommendations to maximize profitability through effective in-season management practices. Coordinate stock and delivery, product launch, promotion & markdown timeline with Planning team, and Retail Operations team.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to inform critical decisions in merchandise planning, inventory management, and allocation to maximize profitability and reduce operational risk. Update product master file with delivery schedule/product launch/sales/inventory data weekly basis.
  • Work with Marketplace team to deliver the business needs, product hindsight’s, customer feedbacks, competitor and market activities to meet the market needs.
  • Ensure structured reporting deliverables are met, evaluating reports for accuracy, performance efficiency and standardized best practices. Provide accurate sales performance information on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, compiling and completing and product feedback reports and analysis by request
  • Participate in the continuous effort to improve buying process and strategies. Support the implementation of new systems and raising efficiencies to ensure processes enhance workflow and optimized inventory to achieve financial plans
  • Develops positive and influential relationships with the core cross functional team (Merchandising, Demand and Supply Planning, Marketing) to ensure consensus to buy investment and inventory levels required to support regional needs.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU :

  • University degree and have at least 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably gained in Planning/Buying in Apparel and Footwear industry.
  • An acute eye for product and trend.
  • Demonstrates good business acumen and both short- and long-term thinking
  • High level of accuracy, good analytical skills and attention-to-detail to analyze, ability to interpret high amount of data and determine the implications. Strong fundamentals in Retail Math and OTB
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successfully.
  • Good organizational skills to complete course of action in a structured, organized and efficient manner.
  • Good communication skills to facilitate resolution of allocation issues.
  • Good teamwork and collaboration with cross functional teams and with all levels of employees.
  • Strong at prioritizing workload and with a flexible attitude to change in priorities.
  • Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continually improve.
  • Calm under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, BI tools. Exposure to SAP & Tableau a plus.
